|Summary||0027030: Cannot make fillet using BRepFilletAPI_MakeFillet on two cylinders unioned together.|
I have created two cylinders using my own bspline surface lofting operation. I make these cylinders into solids and then union them together using BRepAlgoAPI_Fuse. I want to create a fillet in between the two cylinders using BRepFilletAPI_MakeFillet, but no matter what radius I try, it doesn't work. This seems like something that shouldn't be too hard, but its not working. I have tried on both mac and linux.
I am attaching the saved .brep file for the two cylinders. Any help in figuring this out would be appreciated.

I didn't clarify, but I'm not sure this is completely a fillet issue. I can create cylindrical surfaces using BRepOffsetAPI_ThruSections, union them together, and then I can fillet the edges of this.
However, when I use my own code to create the same surfaces and union them together, this is when I have issues creating a fillet. The surfaces are pretty similar, but obviously have slightly different knots, poles, etc. They are the same degree, continuity, and look very similar. Is there a better way to represent surfaces that makes it easier for the fillet operation? Is there something I should use to process my surface, so that I know I can create a fillet on it?
